Summary 

The Associate Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the strategic development and implementation of our Global based product road-map and ultimately leading the launch and lifecycle management of our products in market. This will include ensuring we have the right portfolio to meet the needs of our customers and our strategic market goals as well as ensuring tools and programmes are developed to support the sales and specification of Benjamin Moore across our customer groups. The Associate Product Marketing Manager will work closely with cross-functional external global business teams. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities 

  • Working with  the UK  leadership team and the US product management colleagues to develop long-term vision and strategy for Benjamin Moore UK Limited product portfolio, aligned to corporate product roadmaps and local business strategic goals.  
  • Develop and implement UK  launch plans, sales projections, line extensions, product messaging, product marketing campaigns, training programmes and sales/specification support materials.  
  • Continuously assess market trends and the competitive landscape and, working with sales and marketing teams, identify customer needs and opportunities that will drive product development plans. 
  • Lead product benchmarking & accreditations initiatives to maintain differentiation. 
  • Lead implementation of colour delivery initiatives (ColorX). 
  • Work with legal, regulatory and US product management teams to maintain compliance and claim substantiation. 
  • Support sales/specification team as product technical expert for complaint resolution. 
  • Manage marketing budgets and track KPIs across all initiatives. 
  • Lead product market research programmes as required.  
  • Stay current with market trends, dynamics, customer needs and competitor activities.  
  • Support wider marketing team with business planning.  

Qualifications

Required Skills & Desired Knowledge: 

  • 5-6 years' work experience in Marketing, preferably in Product Management discipline. 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, in Marketing, Communications or relevant industry business experience. 
  • Technical paint knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail in all tasks with accuracy and consistency.  
  • Demonstrates exceptional planning, prioritization, and time-management skills.   
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects while maintaining excellence in execution and delivering projects on time and within the scope of the budget. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting both within the marketing function, within the company, and with external agencies and customers.  
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment while managing projects to a timeline. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong written, presentation and oral communication skills across various levels of the business. 
  • Passion for continuous learning, tracking KPIs and understanding customer insights to inform planning and execution. 
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance at all time. 
  • Demonstrates flexibility for changing priorities while demonstrating a sense of urgency. 
  • Ability to travel, as needed, to visit retailers and end-users, attend events, including evenings and weekends throughout UK and USA. Travel is approximately up to 10%
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word.
