Benjamin Moore has an opening for a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler based out of the Pell City manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will administer the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to meet the needs of maintenance strategies and site processes for maintenance operations. This includes following procedures, supporting 1-to-3-year CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) strategies, registering site assets in CMMS, ensuring data integrity, supporting maintenance storeroom operations, and reporting maintenance KPI's, evaluating opportunities to enhance the maintenance function and embedding continuous improvement fundamentals.
The ideal candidate will have experience and a proven record of working cross-functionally with a strong background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Must have experience with administrating or using CMMS system.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who understands process operation and is a skilled communicator of Maintenance & Reliability concepts to a general audience. This role is a great fit for someone with outstanding problem-solving abilities and has an understanding of various processes in the manufacturing plant.
Pay for this position will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for year-end bonus payment.
Support local site-wide maintenance strategy for the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Adhere to corporate Maintenance & Reliability Governance program
Support integration of the maintenance spares operations into the CMMS
Administer the site CMMS (Assets, Users, Planned Maintenance Tasks, Spares, Bills of Materials, Locations, EHSS and Quality Critical Maintenance).
Support and lead parts ordering/inventory program and order spare parts where necessary
Routine communication with contractors/vendors and plan/schedule site’s visits
Train all site-specific appropriate personnel in the use of the CMMS
Provide support to track all maintenance repairs (Downtime, Scheduled and Unscheduled) for quality or engineering audits
Support equipment reliability processes (e.g., RBM (Risk Based Maintenance), MTBF (Meantime Between Failures), MTTR (Meantime between repairs), Spares, Optimization etc.)
Extract and report maintenance effectiveness KPI (Ex. Overdue work orders, etc.) from CMMS
Support storeroom operations and reporting on effectiveness
Review and update of existing preventive maintenance tasks and ensure relevancy
Review and update asset register based on equipment criticality
Set up BOM (Bill of Materials) for all equipment
Support standardized ways of working across the maintenance function
Ultimately being a point of contact/owner for the site’s CMMS system.
Other duties as assigned
5 years+ Maintenance & Reliability experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of reliability and maintenance principles including data analysis techniques and statistical interpretation skills, maintenance and reliability best practices including planning and scheduling processes, basic mechanical and electrical concepts, lubrication and fundamentals of interpreting oil analysis results and vibration analysis
Strong background in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
Strong understanding of Maintenance Planning/Scheduling including BOM (Bill of Materials) and Pick Tickets
Ideally at least 2 years’ experience of administering CMMS or other maintenance program in a manufacturing facility
HS Degree required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office applications and strong ability in the utilization of Excel data.
