Position Summary

Benjamin Moore is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transportation Compliance Analyst to oversee transportation data integrity, regulatory compliance, and performance analytics across North American operations. This role bridges transportation systems management with DOT and FMCSR compliance, ensuring safe, efficient, and legally sound logistics operations. The position collaborates with internal teams and external service providers to maintain high standards in transportation performance and regulatory adherence.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

 

Transportation Analytics & Systems

  • Maintain accuracy of list bills, accruals, aging reports, and financial transportation metrics.
  • Ensure dashboards, KPIs, and transportation systems (e.g., Rydershare, TMC, LTL platforms, SAP-TM, Oakley) are accurate and actionable.
  • Manage and update freight bill systems, support annual freight audits.
  • Analyze transportation metrics to support cost control initiatives and improve rail utilization.
  • Monitor carrier performance against scorecard goals and support bid processes for truckload, LTL and rail.
  • Oversee the Tanker Preventive Maintenance program in preparation of business recovery plan.

DOT Compliance & Safety

  • Prepare for and conduct federal/state DOT audits and inspections; ensure 100% compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to FMCSR, FTA, PHMSA, FAA, Canadian MOT, and provincial regulations.
  • Act as liaison with federal agents during audits and investigations.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and workflows, including mobile equipment systems (e.g., Samsara, Rand McNally).
  • Manage the CSA program and assess fleet safety performance.
  • Serve as focal point for hazardous materials regulations (49 CFR, TDG, IATA, IMDG).
  • Investigate documentation issues, accident claims, and coordinate with Legal, HR, and Risk Management.
  • Maintain Benjamin Moore HM Company ID#39553 – US DOT# 39838 and Complementary Coatings Corp HM Company ID#1799 – US DOT# 405919.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
  • 0-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Access, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (SAP TM preferred).
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.

Pay Range

USD $54,100.00 - USD $69,200.00 /Yr.
