The Senior Benefits Analyst analyzes, manages, and optimizes employee benefits programs to ensure they are competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. This role is a strategic advisor on benefits-related matters, leveraging data insights and system expertise to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

 

The ideal candidate will also serve as a functional and technical subject matter expert (SME) in the HCM Benefits module, working closely with HRIS, Payroll, and other cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage benefits plans in the HCM system (Dayforce), including eligibility rules, employee contributions, plan updates, and reporting. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, plan setup defects, and interface errors.
  • Lead the planning, testing, and execution of annual Open Enrollment within Dayforce, including configuration of preferred rate tables and salary tiers.
  • Administer ACA compliance processes, including Forms 1094-C and 1095-C, partnering with Payroll and HRIS to ensure timely submission.
  • Lead implementation of new benefits programs in coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Conduct audits and generate reports using Dayforce to ensure the accuracy and integrity of benefits data.
  • Manage benefits data files for active employees, retirees, COBRA, and LTD participants.
  • Serve as a liaison to vendors to ensure accurate data transmission, resolve discrepancies, and meet compliance standards.
  • Oversee Pre-65 retiree medical administration with AMWINS and ensure rate alignment.
  • Develop and track metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness and utilization of benefits programs.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on data trends and employee feedback.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP), preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in benefits analysis and administration.
  • Extensive HCM experience, with a strong focus on Benefits configuration, data management, and reporting.
  • Expertise in employee benefits regulations and compliance (ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key trends and insights from complex information.
  • Strong communication and project management abilities.
  • Experience collaborating across departments and with external vendors, preferred
  • Experience managing retiree benefits and third-party vendors, preferred
  • Familiarity with KPIs for benefit program evaluation, preferred
  • Proficiency in Dayforce HCM, preferred

The salary range listed herein refers to the amount the Company is willing to pay at the time of posting. The actual salary offer will be carefully considered based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, job location, and other relevant factors.
