The Environmental Health & Safety (EHSS) Intern will support initiatives that promote workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • PIT/Pedestrian traffic mapping in Low Flash Mixing
  • PIT/Pedestrian traffic mapping in Paint Plant Mixing/Shading
  • Container HMIS labeling survey/improvements
  • Equipment specific LOTO procedure accuracy
  • Fall hazard survey
  • Site noise map update
  • Identify opportunities to reduce noise levels at Filling Lines in an effort to eliminate Hearing Conservation program
  • Wildlife Habitat Council recertification activities
  • Ergonomic survey with improvement recommendations
  • Aid in conducting weekly, monthly, & annual inspections

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly across teams.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to analyze and present data effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Interest in safety regulations, environmental compliance, and process improvement in a corporate setting.
