The Environmental Health & Safety (EHSS) Intern will support initiatives that promote workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability within the organization. 

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of LOTO eq specific procedures for process and RM tanks
• Work with maintenance and operations to label chemical supply lines
• Develop a PIT inventory in support of iwarehouse program launch and work with maintenance to develop a PM program for the trucks
• PPE hazard assessment validation
• Training content refresh with updated site pictures
• Create spill kit replenishment area and verify spill kits are
• Assist with leading indicator follow up initiatives – near miss, safety suggestion etc.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Science, with a focus on Chemistry, Biology, Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical), Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Collaborative mindset 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) 

  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), with a passion for workplace safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory standards.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
