The Environmental Health & Safety (EHSS) Intern will support initiatives that promote workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability within the organization. 

Responsibilities

• Work with our Strategic Transportation Partners to improve service to our Customers.
• Improve On-Time pick-up and Delivery metrics
• Provide support managing spend by working on various projects (i.e.- driving rail utilization initiatives).
• Perform data analysis and provide support for activities related to the rollout of SAP-EWM/TM to all BM distribution facilities
• Work with BM transportation / Carriers/TMC (RMS) to achieve +95% (within compliance invoice exception goal)
• Partner with TMC (RMS) and Carriers to Improve compliance
• One Ping compliance to 98%
• Improve Hourly Ping compliance to over 50%
• Support onboarding of new truckload carriers

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly across teams.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to analyze and present data effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Interest in safety regulations, environmental compliance, and process improvement in a corporate setting.
