The candidate would be responsible for leading or participating in key quality-related projects involving paints, resins, and colorants.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead a project to develop, document, and conduct lab experiments
  • Gathering and analyzing data under the guidance of a Quality Engineer. 
  • Assist with the organization of Quality Data and information to ensure its easy accessibility and relevance.
  • Perform data analysis and present to key stakeholders.  The presentation would be used to support the decision-making process on possible specification or process changes
  • Ensures lab cleanliness standards are adhered to
  • Follows site-wide safety rules and requirements for PPE

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology. 
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of basic lab techniques and maintenance, including proper lab sampling, labeling, and housekeeping
  • Able to travel by car to NJ / NY-based locations (including Flanders, NJ, Montvale, NJ, Newark NJ, and Johnstown, NY). Other locations may be identified during the internship period
