Shift Time:10am- 6:30pm - Monday to Friday
Organize and execute the distribution center’s workload by shift to ensure on-time, in-full completion of all orders to customers.
Recognizes, recommends, and implements, ways to delegate work, leverage manpower, maximize efficiency, and resolve/troubleshoot problems that arise to ensure productivity levels are not disrupted throughout the shift during peak and non-peak packing timeframes. Coordinates with management when issues require escalation for resolution.
Coordinates and monitors the shift’s operations to include inbound, outbound, tint specials, replenishment, etc. and reviews daily performance reports in compliance with KPI Metrics.
Reviews and resolves shipping errors and develops strategies to minimize them.
Utilizes 5S and Continuous Improvement methodology to identify, implement, and sustain process improvements.
Oversees quality and cleanliness of the work areas and equipment based on warehouse checklist and ensures all equipment is accounted for daily such as RF scanners, MHE etc.
Assists in the development and employee training on standard work instructions (SWI)
Facilitates daily Gemba walks, stand-up meetings, and shift change meetings.
Opens and closes the facility daily as required.

Employee Responsibilities:
Assists site management with employee-related issues and questions, such as job assignments and scheduling of time off requests and resolves minor disputes. Escalates issues to management, as needed.
Provides verbal and written input to performance evaluation and partners with management to deliver timely and constructive mid-year and year-end performance evaluations to employees.
Provides management comprehensive performance/attendance infractions for review, in accordance with the corrective action process to include written documentation and verbal overview of violations. Will make recommendations for the appropriate level of corrective action to the manager and assist where appropriate to administer the corrective action.
Participates in interviews and conducts site tours for job applicants. Helps to on-board new hires.
Responsible for partnering with other department Leads to cross-train employees to increase versatility and flexibility across the distribution center.
Engages in conversation with team members to gather feedback regarding opportunities to improve efficiencies, performance, or work environment on the shift.
Safety Responsibilities:
Follows and administers all safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines and rules for assigned shift.
Ensures the use of required safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
Promptly addresses issues related to safety and actively coaches and reinforces safety expectations with the team.
Maintains compliance with all local, state, and federal DOT regulations.
Reports near misses in a timely manner into Intelex.
High School degree required or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred.
Experience in a dynamic distribution environment.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Requires demonstrated computer skills, working knowledge of the (WMS) as well as an aptitude to keep current with new electronic information systems.
Competency and confidence in utilizing applicable computerized systems such as MS Office Excel, Outlook, Word, and SAP.
Ability to operate motorized material handling equipment such as, but not limited to, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, reach truck, scissor lift.

Frequency of physical activity throughout shift:
Frequent sitting, standing, bending/twisting of neck and waist, squatting and kneeling
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects from the floor, conveyor, vehicle, table, or overhead location
Constant standing and walking (6-8+ hours)
Frequent lifting of 10-75 lbs. (1-8+ hours) throughout the shift
