Benjamin Moore is seeking a talented Technology Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Technology Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing generative AI models to optimize various aspects of our digital processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy AI and other automation solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, add value to the end-user experience, and improve our competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Responsible for guiding vendors, engineers, solution architects, and other technical staff to ensure successful delivery and ongoing evolution of digital products. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in solution engineering. Drive product improvements by partnering with business partners and key stakeholders in defining and improving the customer experience. Will also be responsible for owning the technical implementation planning and execution of these digital products.
Lead the development effort in building scalable, extensible, secure applications while employing best practices.
Collaborate with platform vendors to assess and isolate issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
Evaluate new vendor platforms that may potentially be useful for future engagements.
Research, design, and develop generative AI models tailored to address specific challenges within the manufacturing, distribution, and consumer domains.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts, to gather requirements and understand business needs.
Continuously analyze and optimize existing generative AI models for performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and machine learning technologies to identify opportunities for innovation within the manufacturing context.
Work closely with production teams to integrate AI solutions seamlessly into existing workflows and other digital domains.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on AI-related projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Required Knowledge and Desired Skills
Proven experience leading software engineering teams. Must have a passion for being involved in the full cycle of product development - from ideation to deployment.
A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
5+ years of experience designing/developing distributed, scalable cloud-based solutions using serverless technologies with Node, Python, and/or C# as well as JavaScript client-side technologies (React, Angular).
The role requires a deep understanding of automation technologies, including generative AI, machine learning (ML), and technical proficiency in programming languages, tools, and AI techniques, including deep learning, neural networks, Natural language processing, and hands-on experience with Machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or sci-kit-learn.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform with a preference toward Azure experience.
Ability to lead hybrid teams composed of vendor and internal resources.
Ability to complete all phases of SDLC, including analysis, design, development, testing, and support utilizing Scrum/Agile methodologies.
Ability to innovate and provide functional applications with intuitive interfaces.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to interpret complex business requirements and encapsulate business logic/rules into reusable libraries.
Strong understanding and demonstrated usage of object-oriented design concepts.
Experience with software versioning and release management.
Strong ability to exercise independent judgment, effectively prioritize, and execute tasks while under pressure.
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
